Updated: Jan 24, 2023

Houses could sell increasingly fast, but the maximum "Return on Investment" may be accomplished with the appropriate decor. Within the first week of listing, many properties are under contract, often without any preparation or planning for the market. However, until purchasers fall in love with the house, real estate agents can't guarantee sellers that their property will stand out and draw the best bids. That's where staging can help! How can staging captivate purchasers' hearts for profitable, high-priced sales? Let's elaborate shall we?

Assist Buyers in Making Emotional Connections

Staging is the process of displaying an appealing, move-in-ready home that elicits an emotional response from the buyer. Updating décor with on-trend, inviting style, especially in living rooms, primary bedrooms, kitchens, and dining rooms, can leave a lasting impression. Buyers will be more committed and may be willing to increase their offer once engaged, and they may be less likely to change their minds at the last minute or request concessions.

According to the National Association of Realtors, 82 % of buyers' agents said staging helped their clients visualize the property as their home.

Assist Buyers in Better "Imagining" an Empty Home

There is no doubt that a gloomy, empty property will not draw the same amount of interest as one that is filled with trendy, engaging furniture pieces and accessories. It not only helps

the customer to see their items in the space and how it will accommodate their lifestyle, but it also helps make the room feel more open and welcoming.

Data shows that staging is a worthy investment.

The IAHSP survey found that sellers who do not stage their properties have an average price reduction was five to twenty times greater than the staging investment. Staging is an asset that helps maximize the ROI on the sale of a home and is usually less expensive than the first price reduction. According to data from the Real Estate Staging Association, with an average investment of 1% of the sale price in staging, approximately 75% of sellers saw an ROI of 5% to 15% above the asking price (RESA). According to a recent International Association of Home Staging Professionals survey, staging helps sell homes three to thirty times faster than the unstaged competition. Furthermore, staging can boost the sale price by up to 20% on average.

Produce Significant Online Photographs to Garner Interest

Sellers only get one opportunity to create a first impression. According to NAR data, nearly all (99%) of younger generation home buyers initiate their search online. Even in a buyer's market, staging a photo-ready home can have a direct impact on a buyer's choice to see the home in person and submit a proposal.
